On Tuesday afternoon, New York magazine’s Daily Intel blog published a blog focused on the First Lady’s butt. The post headlined, “Now That’s Something To Salute,” showing President Obama saluting the marine standing guard outside Marine One as Michelle Obama walked up the helicopter’s stairs. This disrespectful reference would not have been published for any other First lady, but this kind of dialogue plays into the hyper-sexual stereotypes of black & Latino women.
